Costa Rica has a tropical climate and two seasons: the dry season and the green season. The dry season generally lasts from December to April, with very little to no rainfall, while the green season occurs from May to November when precipitation happens. Temperatures are similar year-round, ranging from 86-95 degrees Fahrenheit during the day at sea level and 77-82 degrees Fahrenheit at night. Mountain temperatures vary between 68-86 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and 57-72 degrees Fahrenheit at night, depending on where you are in the country.
