This is a great package for you who wants to discover the beautiful nature and animals of Costa Rica! After arriving in the capital San Jose and spending your first night there we will take you to amazing Tortuguero on the northern Caribbean coast. Tortuguero means “place of the turtle” and is often referred to as “Little Amazonas” because of its stunning nature. If you are here during turtle season you can add an additional tour to watch the turtles lay their eggs (July-October, February-April). Individual turtles can be seen all year around. During your 3-day stay here you will experience three different excursions such as a riverboat tour, hike in the rainforest, and visit Tortuguero town to interact with the locals. The animals that can be seen here are crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas, sloths, many different species of birds, and a lot more!

When we have enjoyed the Caribbean coast, we travel on to the cozy mountain town of La Fortuna and the majestic volcano Arenal. The town itself offers nice restaurants, both domestic and international. La Fortuna and Arenal are also great locations to spot the very cute animal, the sloth. While staying here, we will take you on an adventurous full-day tour that includes horseback riding (or car) to the 229 ft (70 m) high waterfall of La Fortuna. After lunch we meet up again for a hike with our guide around the world-famous Arenal volcano. We will learn the history and present of the volcano and the rainforest. We finish our day with swimming in naturally heated mineral hot springs where we also enjoy our dinner before heading back to the hotel. Our next stop on our trip is the magical rain forest of Monteverde. This great rainforest has more than 2,500 plant species and is great for hiking. We will have a beautiful adventure as we hike on the hanging bridges through the rainforest with our professional guide. We will also visit the butterfly garden, the hummingbird garden before we finally get to go on an adrenalin-pumping zipline tour! Monteverde is also a bird-watcher’s paradise as there are more than 365 species of birds and it’s also Costa Rica’s and maybe the world’s most famous habitat for the mystical and beautiful bird Quetzal.

After our visit to Monteverde we travel on to the cozy beach town of Manuel Antonio. Here you can relax on the beautiful beach for three days and also make a visit to the amazing national park that gives you the chance to watch many exciting animals such as monkeys, iguanas, sloths, birds, and a lot more. Manuel Antonio is located right next to beach town Quepos, which is a great place if you want to go out to enjoy some of Costa Rica’s world-class fishing. From Manuel Antonio we’ll take you to the airport and say goodbye for this time!
