On only a 30-minute drive you reach Playa Grande, which is one of the best surf beaches in the world. You also have Tamarindo Beach, which is the biggest beach town in Costa Rica. Here you can find everything from shopping, bars, clubs, and the long beach perfect for beginners. TOURS One of the most popular excursions to do here is to go on a catamaran sunset cruise where you get to sail out to a lagoon where you can go on a guided snorkel trip in the warm water of the Pacific Ocean.
